Introducing our Professional Hunters

Paul Ferreira
Paul has 24 years hunting experience and specialises in big game/dangerous game He is the sole Outfitter for Shakawa Safaris through Askari Adventures. He is also very experienced at both plains game and bird hunting. He has references from clients in 8 different countries. Hunting conducted in 4 different Southern Africa countries. Member of PHASA, SCI, Dallas Safari Club International.

Schalk Potgieter
Schalk has been a Professional Hunter for 9 years. He has a great deal of experience at hunting plains game, He has a very good eye for a trophy animal and has many trophy book animals on his record. Schalk is also the manager at Shakawa.

Frits Rabe
Frits has been a Professional Hunter since 1991. He has a Dangerous Game Licence and a Dangerous Game Bowhunting Licence. Frits has 18 years bowhunting experience. He Specialises in dangerous game with bow & arrow. Frits is the Only PH to have done all dangerous game & crocodile with one client with bow and arrow. He is also qualified and very knowledgeable on gun smithing and modification and served with South African Special Forces.

Piet Lombaard (Snr.)
Piet is an experienced Professional Hunter specialising in big game hunting with many trophies and successful hunts in his book. He is also a Game capturer.

Pieter Lombaard (Jnr.)
Pieter is the youngest of this father and son team here at Shakawa. He has 10 years Professional hunting experience at both big game and plains game. He has many successful hunts and trophy animals in his book.

Morne Brummer
Morne is the youngest of our team here at Shakawa and has been Hunting professionally now for six years. He specialises in bow hunting.
